CSE 103X is a small-class format of Python programming online summer camp that is designed to inspire an interest in computer programming and helps students to learn the fundamental computer science coding skills. This camp will give students hands-on experience of coding with Python. It is aimed for any students who want to get a start into programming.

Max number of students we can accept: 6 in one class, this class is still open for registration now.

Prerequisites: Basic Math concepts and knowledges such as basic arithmetic operation, remainder, and comparison of integers.

The following topics will be covered in CSE 103x Python Programming Summer Camp:
1. Primitive data types, printing
2. Arithmetic (modulus included)
3. String manipulation
4. Introduction to modules (Math, Time)
5. Printing with formatting and user input
6. Conditionals (if, elif, else)
7. Loops (while, for)
8. Functions and methods
9. Lists, multidimensional lists.
10. Dictionaries and sets
11. Recursion

Equipment: A computer with a browser, zoom installed and internet access is required.

Refund Policy:
One week prior to the start date of the class you registered:
1. 100% refund if you pay cash and provide the receipt.
2. 90% refund if you pay with Paypal/cards due to new banking policy starting at May 7th, 2019.

Less than one week prior to the start date of class you registered:
90% refund regardless of payment methods.

After the class starts: (regardless of payment methods)
70% Refund after the first class.
50% Refund after the second class.
No refund after the third class.

TECHNOLOGY WE USE

Python is a multi-paradigm programming language. Object-oriented programming and structured programming are fully supported, and many of its features support functional programming and aspect-oriented programming. The syntax of Python is simplier than Java. Many young kids can easily learn Python without memorizing the complicated syntax.
