CSE 701 is the first course in a series of two CSE 700 level Web Programming courses(CSE 701, CSE 702) that are designed to to provide an introduction to the language including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP Communication as well as basic web programming techniques. This course creates an essential foundation with which more advanced front-end technologies like bootstrap, Angular JS, and JQuery can be fully appreciated. After completing this course, you will be able to design and develop your own interactive web pages, understand how websites work, and be ready to learn more advanced industry standard front-end technologies used by major companies. No prior programming experience required.

The following topics will be covered in CSE 701 Web Programming I: (10 weeks)
1. Introduction & Building the Project folder
2. Design the HTML layout of your website
3. Navigation Bar & List
4. Creating Tables & Styling using CSS
5. Inserting Images
6. Creating Links
7. Adding Animation Using JavaScript
8. Building form I
9. Building form II
10. Project

Prerequisites: Basic Math concepts and knowledges such as basic arithmetic operation, remainder, comparison of integers.

Equipment: iMac 21.5 Inch All-in-one Desktop Computers are provided.

1. 100% refund if you pay cash and provide the receipt.
2. 90% refund if you pay with Paypal/cards due to new banking policy starting at May 7th, 2019.

Less than one week prior to the start date of class you registered:
90% refund regardless of payment methods.

After the class starts: (regardless of payment methods)
70% Refund after the first class.
50% Refund after the second class.
No refund after the third class.


HTML (HyperText Makeup Language) is the most basic building block of the Web. It defines the meaning and structure of web content. Other technologies besides HTML are generally used to describe a web page's appearance/presentation(CSS) or functionality/behavior (JavaScript).
